ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Abigail Sherretta, or Abbi for short. I have a huge passion for art and creativity along with a deep appreciation for people and meaningful connection.
I have always known I wanted to do something creative that also involves understanding and connecting with others. When I took my first advertising class, I immediately fell in love with it. I could not believe how perfectly it combined creativity, psychology, strategy, design and writing. The more I learn and gain experience, even in challenging moments, the more grateful I feel to be in this field.
I truly find purpose in advertising. I want to help bring people’s ideas to life and communicate them clearly in the world. There is something incredibly meaningful about taking someone’s vision, values or mission and transforming it into a message that resonates with others. Over the past four years in college, the connections I’ve built with classmates, professors and organizations have deepened my sense of purpose and shown me how powerful collaboration can be.
In my free time, I love doing arts and crafts. Painting, sewing and experimenting with different projects keeps me inspired and reminds me why I fell in love with creativity. At the same time, these hobbies reinforce habits I value in my work, like curiosity, observation and a willingness to explore different possibilities.
My background as an artist strongly influences how I think about advertising. Observation is one of the most valuable habits I’ve developed through art. I love people watching, listening to conversations and noticing patterns in culture. I journal often to reflect on what I see and how it makes me feel, and over time shared emotions and themes begin to stand out. This helps me move beyond surface-level ideas and focus on real human insight.
When developing campaigns, I combine that emotional awareness with strategy. I generate multiple concepts, test variations and evaluate how each direction aligns with the audience and campaign objectives. Giving myself space to explore leads me to ideas that connect emotionally while making sense strategically. The result is work that is creative, intentional and grounded in purpose.
